Sweta Pande - Founder and Teacher
Sweta has dedicated over 40 years to the art of dance and is the founder of Umang Dance School. A trained Kathak dancer, she carries a deep respect for classical tradition while also nurturing a strong passion for exploring and teaching other dance forms, including Bollywood and Tollywood styles.
With decades of learning, performing, and teaching experience, Sweta believes in building a strong foundation of technique, rhythm, expression, and storytelling. Her teaching style is patient, encouraging, and detail-oriented, allowing students to grow with confidence at their own pace.
Sweta’s love for dance has been with her since childhood. A trained Kathak dancer with a passion for Bollywood and Tollywood styles, she balanced her artistic dreams with a professional career in IT after completing her engineering in Electronics in 1999.
Even while working in the corporate world, dance remained her true calling. A proud mother of two, she chose to follow her heart and, in 2022, founded Umang Dance School. Today, she brings her experience, dedication, and love for dance to every student, creating a space where creativity, expression, and confidence can flourish.
For Sweta, dance is more than an art form—it is a way to express emotions, preserve culture, and develop self-discipline and confidence. Through her guidance at Umang Dance School, students in Suwanee, Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Duluth, and surrounding areas area and all ages are inspired to discover their individuality, creativity, and love for dance in a supportive and motivating environment.
